Stockholm Water Week will showcase THF's success story by filming Binimaypara (North 24Pgns.) and Shimurali (Nadia), unlocking the true history of the land. The way arsenic ravaged the life of these people were covered in the documentary. Film Director Sudeshna Bose followed THF's Project Co-ordinator, Sudip Sarkar in Binimaypara and her photographic gaze that traveled from the consumers fetching safe drinking water from the Arsenic removal plant to the employees delivering the treated water to the local customers to the children playing mirthfully while drinking pure water. Indeed the debilitated condition caused by Arsenic were captured by the lens while narrating the story through the voice of Mr. Sudip Sarkar.
Film director Bose's observing ethnographic eye even underlined the story of Mrs. Ruplekha Banerjee, her becoming the Water entrepreneur with the help of THF while serving thousands of people by providing Arsenic free water. Her interview is worth mentioning as she despite of her low health conditions managed to stand the interview session. The unprecedented effects of Arsenic that was a part of the past is being now tackled to a great extent with the help of our founder member Dr. Arup Sengupta's invented water filter media were all recorded in the documentary. The camera followed Mrs. Ruplekha Banerjee's husband while he was delivering water to the customer's place.
This is how THF is prospering in its own field with the vision of diversifying its technology in the areas affected by Arsenic, assuring happiness in the poor people's life, only intention being prophylactic.
